What is a Reflex Angle Calculator?

The reflex angle calculator is a free online tool through which you can easily calculate the reflex angle of any given angle.

Reflex Angle Calculator

Just enter the primary angle (in degrees) into the calculator, and then this calculator will evaluate and display the reflex angle to you.

How to Use the Reflex Angle Calculator?

The procedure to use the reflex angle calculator is as follows:

Step 1: Enter the primary or corresponding angle in the respective input field.

Step 2: Now, click on the 'Calculate' button to get the reflex angle.

Step 3: At last, the reflex angle (in degrees) will be displayed in the output field.

What is a Reflex Angle?

A reflex angle is an angle that is greater than 180 degrees (half circle) and less than 360 degrees (full circle). The reflex angle and the corresponding angle which lies on the other side together form a complete angle (360°).

Reflex Angle Formula

The mathematical formula to calculate the reflex angle is:

RA = 360° - PA

Where,

RA - Reflex Angle in Degrees
PA - Primary Angle in Degrees

How to Calculate Reflex Angle?

Every reflex angle has a primary or corresponding angle which lies on the other side of it. The reflex angle and the corresponding angle together form a complete angle (360°), which means Reflex Angle + Primary Angle = 360°.

Since we need to calculate the reflex angle, then we will subtract the primary angle from the full angle. This will give us the reflex angle in degrees.

Reflex Angle (RA) = 360° - Primary Angle

Note: The Primary Angle is always smaller than or equal to 180°.

Example Problems on Reflex Angle

Example 1: Calculate the reflex angle if the corresponding angle is 150°.

We have, Primary Angle = 150°

Using the formula, RA = 360° - PA, we get:

RA = 360° - 150° = 110°

Therefore, the reflex angle is 110°.

Example 2: Calculate the reflex angle if the primary angle is 120°.

Primary Angle = 120°

Using the formula, RA = 360° - PA, we get:

RA = 360° - 120° = 240°

Therefore, the Reflex angle is 240°.

Frequently Asked Questions on Reflex Angle

What is a reflex angle?

A reflex angle is an angle that is more than 180 degrees and less than 360 degrees. For example, 210 degrees is a reflex angle.

What is the formula to calculate reflex angle?

Reflex Angle = 360° - Primary Angle

Is 180° a reflex angle?

No, 180° is a straight angle. The measure of a reflex angle is always greater than 180° and less than 360°.

Is 360° a reflex angle?

No, 360° is a complete angle. A reflex angle is always less than 360°.

What are some examples of reflex angles?

Some examples of reflex angles are 210 degrees, 270 degrees, 320 degrees, 200 degrees, 257 degrees and so on.
